Bonfire In Carmel

Would you like to know the recipe for a good bonfire? Well, first you need to gather some good friends, fire wood and food. Then, head to a beautiful beach -- preferably one that allows bonfires, of course! (My Traveling Troop went to a beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif.).

Once the kids are done running around, chasing dogs, playing soccer and building sand castles...

gather around the cozy fire and enjoy the sunset.

Then, roast some hot dogs, Japanese yams and smores.

Oh! And don't forget to gaze at the stars before you go!
