My Traveling Troop's Easter Weekend

It’s been a whirlwind of Easter activities for My Traveling Troop so far this weekend, and it’s not over yet!
The fun began Friday morning, when I took Bella to the Monterey Bay Officer Spouses Club play group. Bella and the rest of the kids played at a playground, then topped off their time together with Easter-themed crafts, cup cakes and an egg hunt -- all of which were arranged by the lovely lady that runs the play group.

Saturday, we headed to Devendorf Park in Carmel-by-the-sea to have a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage with the Easter Bunny. While there, Bella also got to get her face painted, blew bubbles, tossed rings and made her way through an obstacle course with her dad’s help.

But I think it’s the few things we have planned today that I am looking forward to most of all: watching my daughter discover her Easter basket full of goodies, dyeing eggs and going to church. As a military family, we will probably move quite a bit over the next few years. And it’s comforting to know that we can partake in these traditions no matter where we are in the world.
Warmest wishes to all of my family and friends celebrating Easter and Passover!

  1. Love these great pics! Bella looks absolutely adorable and like she's having the time of her life! I love the pure joy on her face as she's grabbing a cupcake and going through the obstacle course (Daddy looks a little nervous about it :)). Ahh, to be a kid again and experience that kind of happiness in its purest form...which, as grown ups, we can put the complexities of our life on hold a bit and experience it all again through our children, as it sounds like you did on Easter weekend. Can't wait to hear about and see more "Traveling Troop" adventures! I love starting out my day reading your updates!
